Terms & Conditions

Keep your originals. Check your results.
Compression can reduce detail. Reduction percentages are targets, not promises. Review compressed files before sharing or deleting originals, and keep backups before choosing to replace files.
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the PDF & Image Compressor website and Mac app, provided by Kudos IT PTY LTD. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.
2. Availability and purchases
The app is currently awaiting App Store review. A download link will be published after approval. The planned model is a one-time paid download without subscriptions or in-app purchases. Availability, final price, supported versions and regional pricing will be shown in the Mac App Store listing.
Purchases, payment processing, refunds and app distribution through Apple are subject to Apple’s applicable terms and policies. Any applicable Apple app licence terms also apply.
3. What the app does
The app converts supported images to JPG and compresses PDFs locally on your Mac. Image pixel dimensions are retained, but image detail may be reduced. PDF text, vectors and page dimensions are retained while embedded images are recompressed. Actual format support depends on macOS and the source encoding.
Target reduction settings from 1–95% do not guarantee a particular output size. Some files may not shrink, and image conversion can produce a larger file. JPG exports flatten transparency onto white; multi-image files export the first image. Encrypted PDFs are not supported.
4. Your files and responsibility
Only process files you own or have permission to use. You retain ownership of your files and outputs. You are responsible for selecting the appropriate settings, granting folder permissions and checking results for your needs.
Back up important files before processing, especially if you enable replacement of originals. Recompressing a digitally signed PDF can invalidate its signatures. Do not use a recompressed file as a substitute for an original where authenticity, exact fidelity or legal retention matters.
5. Acceptable use and intellectual property
You must not use the app, website or support service for unlawful activity, interfere with their operation or attempt unauthorised access. The app, website design and branding belong to Kudos IT PTY LTD or their respective rights holders. Your use does not transfer ownership of them. Rights to use the app are subject to its applicable licence terms.
6. Privacy
File processing is local to your Mac. Support messages submitted on this website are handled through our contact service. See the Privacy Policy for details.
7. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the app and website are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee a particular reduction, uninterrupted availability or suitability for every file or purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the app or website, including loss of data, reduced image detail, invalidated signatures or interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, guarantees, remedies or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under the Australian Consumer Law. You can read more about consumer rights and guarantees from the ACCC.
8. Changes
We may update the app, website or these terms. The date above identifies the latest version of these terms. Please review changes before continuing to use the service.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, subject to mandatory rights and protections that apply in your place of residence.
